Weekend Running

From Lesley: Chilly and hilly Trent loop run from Goldenstones this morning with good company as usual. Natasha took her dogs for a walk so then met us partway running down Primrose Lane knowing that she had to run back up - that's dedication for you.

From Mark: Saturday Morning CT Run led by Sharon and Tim. Thanks both for another nice run.

Park Runs

From Adam: Newport Park Run - Tredegar NT House - lovely flat three lap course, good paths through woods and around lake.

From Chris: So finally after illness and injury we got out and ran in Australia! Parkrun Kingscliff was a flat course along the promenade. Everyone was really friendly and supportive and someone had even heard of Yeovil.

From Taryn: Happy running all, from a chilly Lydiard parkrun.

PUB RUN – CHARLTON ADAM – (11TH JANUARY 2024)

From Mark: We were back to a normal Pub Run tonight with four in the not so fast group (Louise, Elie, Kelly and myself), and eight of us in total. Conditions were dry, cool (4 deg C), and clear. Leaving the pub we ran westward and turned right. A train passed in the darkness as we headed towards the railway bridge. We continued along the narrow lane and reached Keinton Mandeville. Turning left we ran through the village and reached the B3153. Turning left, and stopping outside of the pub, some photos were taken. We continued westward, and turned right to run down towards Barton St David, and stopped where the road split. Turning round we headed back the same way. We stopped to admire an old phone box nicely lit up in the dark. At the railway bridge there was a great view of RNAS Yeovilton lit up about four miles away. Thanks all, and thanks Phil for organising. The pub food was good.
