WESSEX XC LEAGUE EVENT 1

LEAROYD ROAD, CANFORD HEATH ON 9TH OCTOBER 2016

RACE INSTRUCTIONS:

Poole Athletic Club invites you to the first fixture of this Wessex League Season which is being held at Learoyd Rd, Canford Heath, Poole, BH17 8PJ

The race head quarters will be Limelights Youth Centre, which is conveniently located adjacent to the start and finish points of all races. This will be available from around 10:30AM, with access to toilets, the provision of refreshments as well as being the location of the race management  team.

Your race numbers, for those already entered, will be provided by your team manager. Those not pre-registered  will need to obtain their No from Limelights, so we urge you to  arrive early as there are likely to be a few queues! These must be worn on the front of your club vest. Please ensure you wear the number allocated for you for the season Please arrive changed as there is limited options for changing within the Youth Club.

The Start and Finish will be located on the Learoyd Rd Playing Field within 100m of Limelights. The course will use playing fields and open spaces to the north of the start area. The course cuts across some footpaths, but is considered suitable for spikes.

The 1st race will be at 11.45 for U11 Girls followed at 11.55 by the U11 Boys. The other races will follow at the designated times after this. Timetables and course maps will be available on the Team Dorset Website and also displayed on the day.

There are some parking bays adjacent to the school and roadside parking. More space is available at Harwell Rd BH17 0GE just a short footpath from Limelights.

The course will be extensively taped. Marshals will be stationed on the course along with First Aid cover. Please do not wear iPodss etc. Do be considerate of local residents using this public open space, we want to continue to use this facility. Team tents can be pitched on the grassed area close to the start line, don’t impede the course

Race Results will be sent to team managers for checking. They will be published on the Team Dorset website as soon as possible in the week following the event. We will be aiming e to achieve a 24 hour turn-round.

Please do not leave valuables unattended as the organisers cannot take responsibilities for any items lost or removed during the course of this event.
