Chard Flyer

01 January 2018       Book Race

The 8th running of the Chard Flyer.  Race is on Monday 1st January 2018 at 11:00am.  Registration is open from 09:30 at Chard Cricket Club.  Entries will close at around 10:40 because the start is not at the Registration point - there is a 10 minute jog to the start for the 10k.  There is a race limit of 200.  
 

PLEASE NOTE - There is no Junior event

This is an on road 10k.  It is predominantly on footpaths, park tracks and country lanes. It is for the most part fairly flat, but there is a steep quite long climb at 4-5 K and a steady climb to the finish.  There is one water station at approximately half way.  Please note this race is not part of the 2018 Somerset Series.

 

If you are here it means you are looking to enter online.  There is no surcharge to the entrant for online entries.  Entries are £8 for affiliated runners, and £10 for unaffiliated runners. On the day entries are £2 extra.  All race numbers are to be collected from Registration at Chard Cricket Club, Dening Sports Fields, Zembard Lane, Chard, Somerset. TA20 1JL.  This needs to be done by 10:40.  Registration opens at 09:30.  We will look to send out a confirmation email to entrants.

We will have prizes for first and second male and female.  We will then have a category prize to the winner of the category in the usual age groups - Senior Male, Male 40+, Male 50+, Male 60+,  Senior Lady, Lady 35+, Lady 45+, Lady 55+.  We may award a team prize.  Details for team are on the race website page.

Sorry but no dogs, buggies, wheelchairs, or use of music/ear pieces.
